Suggestions for location?
Thinking centrally between Houston, Dallas, San Antonio
Definition of mini bash:
One day duration
Within one day’s drive
Must drive vehicle at least 25 years old
Guys only.
Maybe there can be several at one time but in different locations.

One day's drive is has a different meaning for some of us. When C and I departed Rockwall the plan was to make it to Trinidad and spend the night. We ended up pushing on to home. Bearing Bob thinks a one day drive is from Bakersgizzy CA to Pine CO.

That was easy peasy cuz I left at the right time. The time I left Bako at 6pm and drove w/o sleep to Denver was tough.

I
That is an impressive stint in one shot Bob. Cast iron butt and impressive bladder control.
I’ve done 13 hours from home to Oshkosh but that was 40 years ago. Nowadays I’m looking for a motel bed after 500 miles.

I must be missing something here? Why is it guys only? I would never go anyplace or for any reason that the wife can't go. She has been why I do the Stangs She always encourge it. Yes Mike tonight is a Keystone nite. A few nights ago it was a Yuengling nite.
There is a difference.

I have to agree 100%. My wife has always been a willing companion on every excursion including cruise nights.
She would be very upset if I told her that she was not welcome.

There’s a Mustang Car Show put on by MOCA in Georgetown on Sept 25th. I haven’t been to that show in years but it used to have a very good turnout of 130+ Fords.

Might work, JamesW.
Is that Austin club, Are they majority late model?

Hummm now I have a maybe goal of get my car torn down and put back up right. Borgenson frt steering , digital gauges, drivers window won't seal,,, yes tried 3 x times and now EXHAUST Demon has returned to making a intermittent appearance inside cockpit. BUT (t) I did get the oil leak fixed. Ask Steve about his friggn rule of fixing something on a old mustang. I'm still looking for the machine shop that left crap in every threaded hole.

Sept. 25....never know but the Heap might just be able to make that.

Yeah, Mustang Owners Club of Austin. I haven’t been to one of their shows since about 2007, but it was pretty good. At that time the 05 body style was making a big impact so several late models. Also this club at this time had several Shelby guys. Yellow Rose types.
Need someone local to weigh in that knows. It was fun 15 years ago.

REMEMBER!!! When posting a question about your Mustang or other Ford on this forum, BE SURE to tell us what it is, what year, engine, etc so we have enough information to go on. |
