Not near as fast as MS and Jose, but i did get my export brace finished and added 5' to the efi harness. That is a lot of splicing. Made it longer to fit under the back seat.

Nice work!

That's a very nice piece of work, Alan. I have to ask though, have you verified that the hood will close without interference? In the pic it looks like it mounts quite a way above the pinch weld.

I have not checked that, but i will dig the hood out and check the fit. Hope it does, because i have a quite a bit of time in that

I just spoke with the museum and confirmed that they will be open on Saturday, Oct. 8 and they will have a docent available to give us some guidance.
Lookin' forward to seeing you all.

Online!
Learned a new word today< docent>

Humph! I didn't believe you, I had to look it up! Some how I feel smarter.

I had never heard the word docent till BB1 took me to the Joe Martin Craftsmanship Museum in Carlsbad CA
What an eye opener that place is!!

It makes for a better experience if you get a decidedly decent docent, doesn't it?
Offline
Definitely do desire a decidedly decent docent.

For those heading up I-35 from Dallas.
Meet up at theQuickTrip gas station north of Gainesville at 10:00AM Friday morning
It is on I-35 where 82 intersects.
Junction City is about six hours north of that location.

Nice looking brace but I have to share Bob’s concerns about the hood clearing it.
Offline
For now i am going to let it siide till i get the rest of the car done. Don't have the fenders on yet, so i really won't be able to put the hood on and check. Looked at Meier Racing and they have alot of their braces made the same way.as this, so we will see when the time comes.
Dan
You could probably swing by on your way down or when heading home. Would not be too much out of your way.

Tomorrow is the first leg of the mini-bash in Kansas. Since we decided to take back roads instead of interstate I'm meeting BB1 and BB2 in Pueblo, CO tomorrow (Thursday) afternoon. Friday we'll depart Pueblo and follow either US50 or 96 across Eastern Colorado and Kansas.
I also hear that there is a great salvage yard (called wrecking yard when I was a kid) in Great Bend, KS. Maybe we'll stop there and have a look.

I finished my bash thrash. Since I'll be going from 8500' to 1100' I figured I better do something about the jetting of the cabarborator. The little 500 CFM Summit now sports 62's in the front and 68's in the rear.

Safe travels. Enjoy the KS mini bash...

I am thinking we will have an epic adventure.

BB2 is just about an hour and a quarter out from our place. I bet he has the most driven Mach 1 in the world.
We'll see that he's fed and gets a decent sleep then we'll head out for Pueblo mid morning to hook up with RV6.
Hope I can sleep...I'm so pumped. See y'all Friday afternoon.

Sweet! BB2 mentioned that "Christine" was running sort of crappy. Hopefully you two will have time in the morning for a little tune-up.

REMEMBER!!! When posting a question about your Mustang or other Ford on this forum, BE SURE to tell us what it is, what year, engine, etc so we have enough information to go on. |
