Being that the fire extinguisher is in the trunk, I thought that having something close by would be good and I went with a mini extinguisher that I can store in the glove box.
I feel that I'm adequately covered now.

Thanks for sharing where you guys mount the fire extinguisher.
I don't want to have the extinguisher visible, so it will always be a trunk mount for me.
The mini extinguisher is there if I need something real fast.
With mounting the fire extinguisher inside the cabin, what risk is there of it coming loose and hitting the occupants in the event of a roll over?

I mounted mine to a rear floor mat that just  sits behind drivers seat, that way it does not roll around, then you can just pick it up a  move it around where ever, seems to work  for me. 

Fire extinguisher, what the heck is that? I have never had one in a car, although I carried a Halon jobber in the airplane, go figure. It seems all the cars I see burning, or burnt, on the side of the road are newer models and I wonder why. 
I guess I should join the 21st century and buy a extinguisher for the Mustang. Most likely gonna be another Halon.

I tend to carry passengers in the back of my Coupe, so other than the not cool visibility feature, having one mounted back there would be a real pain.

I have mine where BB has his on the floor.  Easy to grab it if needed.

Mine is loose behind the driver's seat.
Some local shows/cruises require one, so it is handy if or when checked.  Plus, tis better to have and not need than to need and not have.

Halon in an airplane?  How does that work?  Don't they function by displacing all the oxygen from the flame’s air supply?  And yours???

I guess I would rather suffocate than get crispy crittered. 

I know nothing about halon portable extinguishers, only systems installed in computer rooms. So, educate me.

I still prefer my set up with the mini extinguisher in the glove box for a quick grab and then the larger fire extinguisher in the trunk.
I'm just not a fan of having a fire extinguisher on show inside the car.
