Mustang intro at World’s Fair

Look at the ride height. It is 2 or 3” lower than how the cars were delivered in production trim. A little bait & switch by Ford’s marketing team?

It was loaded down with sales brochures!

Re: Mustang intro at World’s Fair

It looks like the car is in the air on a central pole, and it was probably rotating. That would leave the suspension hanging, so I bet they chained it in the up position, but got it a little too far.  My car is pretty low. That thing is REALLY LOW.

Re: Mustang intro at World’s Fair

I think the rear is too low, but I agree it was probably on a stand with wheels tied up. I was there but don't remember. We didn't have much back then, I remember mom and dad talking about gong there and sleeping in the car. Don't remember the car either, probably a wagon.

If this forum can't fix it, it isn't broke.

Re: Mustang intro at World’s Fair

I’m sure the young engineer’s made it look that way.
That would have been low.
Sure looks cool.😎

Re: Mustang intro at World’s Fair

I think they did it so being up on that platform it would look pretty level. Very  awesome day in history wish I was born then and could've witnessed it in person. March 1990 I was born just a few years off.
