Just looked it up, Terry. Should be great. I didn't see your post regarding food but I'm with MS. After watching you and Lisa, and Lori and Jerry shlepping food, coolers, chairs, table, etc, etc. plus the cooking and cleaning up Jean and I decided we would have Saturday catered. In the end we had enough help that our out of pocket wasn't much and we didn't need to have a Per Couple charge.
Butt (TS&T), I for one do not feel that a reasonable charge for the Saturday lunch is a burden. And I would rather do that than have the hosts running around like headless chickens and not get to participate. So please DO make it easy on yourselves. Nobody expects a freebee. Just doing the organization is what I feel the host should do.
Looking forward to seeing everyone.....can't wait. I think the Heap is even going to be happy this year.

And another thing....am I the only one who misses the spark plug changing contest? Yeah, I know, I didn't participate that much but I loved it and it was something to hoot and holler about. If others feel the same way I will be in, and I even have a set of 69 ish heads I can bring or a set of E7TE's. Who has the unbreakable plugs that Day made?

Michael still has the heads, plugs and wrenches. Those who quit participating are those who killed it. It was fun, though!!
All us arthritic old farts just couldn’t handle a wrench that fast any more. Would love to see younger guys doing it, but they have to actually attend the bash before they can sign up!!!
Get me twenty that would sign up ahead of time and I might consider bringing it back
Then, I used to spend about $300 on prizes for that contest and I don’t see that happening any more since I sold the company. So, what do you win? Bragging rights?
I would just be real happy to see those who put so
much blood, sweat and tears into their old cars actually DRIVE THEM TO THE BASH. This ain’t a vacation resort. It is a car event!

Well i am game for the contest, haven't been to one yet. No prizes would be needed i would think bragging rights would be enough.

Just print a 1st and 2d place certificate, like the rest....good enough

OK OK I'll drive my 65 to the bash!! In fact I may just drive all 3 of mine!! I probably hold the record for the most personally owned Mustangs at one bash. It was just a mile from my house but still!!!

Is this close to where we had it before?

Well To answer your question YES and YES!
I hosted the Bash in 2014 at this exact location
Terry McGovern hosted the bash in 2009 in Jacksonville, Illinois and that is about 125 miles NW of here

Well crap. The Bash is closer but just not in this years cards. Will be taking the stang on its brake in run this July to Montana. Next year it goes to Raleigh NC for a visit so I hope there is one somewhere in that trip that I can plan around.

You just have to get your priorities in order.
REMEMBER!!! When posting a question about your Mustang or other Ford on this forum, BE SURE to tell us what it is, what year, engine, etc so we have enough information to go on. |
