Sally Is The Man

Early last Sunday after the Bash, Molly and I drove ~15 hours to Myrtle Beach to visit with Carol and Mike since they missed this year's gathering. Molly's bff had moved to North Carolina near Shelby, so I figured we'd kill two birds on the trip. Boy do the Sally's have a real nice place, notwithstanding a visit by a local alligator.

For years I'd heard stories about how Sal runs the streets of Myrtle Beach with open headers. Ya right. Welp, it's twue, it's twue. Not only does he run open headers, he's got a couple of buddies who also do it. True story. I didn't see one copper cruising the highways or shooting radar until last Tuesday when we all drove the Kia down to Charleston for the day.

Thanks Mike and Carol for the hospitality and friendship. They, just like the others on this forum whom I've got to know, are outstanding people and good friends. And none of these friendships would have formed if not for Mustang Steve Wilkes thinking a get together would be a swell thing. So thank you Steve.

On a side note, I'd thought I was ready to move to Texas, until I drove thru Tennessee and South Carolina. Sheesh...decisions decisions.

Do that, Bob.  I bet Ol' Sal would love to have you.  In fact, get yourself...and your sig-oth (bein' PC here) to the next Bash and meet a whole bunch of good folks.
