Thanks Daze.  I’m pretty price conscious and I’ve been wanting affordable aluminum heads.

Nice video.   I’ve thought about building a cheap 393 to have as a spare engine.

How well do the valve guides hold up over time?   Do the valves themselves hold up well too?

The heads look to be  good quality, my question would be are the threaded holes Heli-coiled?

Glad I could help.  They are no edelbrock or AFR but for someone who wants something way better than stock without spending a kings ransom they fit the bill.

The heads are an import casting BUT they are assembled here in the states.  The set on the 302 in my Galaxie have served me well for at least 11 years,  and the set on the 351 on the engine run stand have performed well.  I have not inspected the valve guides but unlike other "import heads" there are not many bad reviews for FloTek.  The have been around long enough to establish a reputation good or bad and at this point it's good.

They are not.  I am considering adding Heli-coils to the ones going on the 393 before I install them.  The other two sets are just the threaded aluminum.
