Not sure yet but as wide as I can. I need to research it more and see what will fit with the Rod & Custom MII setup.

Dies that require spring relocation? I tried some 275x45/17 tires on my 66 once. They were hard against the spring and the outer quarter.

With the DSE mini-tubs, I believe one must eliminate the rear seat, or cut it down to fit with the mini-tubs. Just wondering, what you’re planning to do?

I’m not sure if I ever shared the pictures on here where I cut down the bare seat frames to mock it all up. The original plan was to run a back seat but I’m now leaning towards no back seat and installing a four bar with a cross bar for shoulder strap mounting.
So running a rear seat IMO is an easy thing to do on the coupe. I could dig up the pictures and post to this thread.

What about the spring? I noticed there isn’t one in your mockup pic. Does it get relocated?
I might want to do this on a future build, but there are constraints.

MS...The rear kit looks like a Street or Tracks 3 link system. So springs are eleminated.

I original had relocated the leafs with the Crites kit. I reversed the relocation work and installed the SoT three link. I had to modify the SoT WATTS link bracket to fit the narrowed frame sections from the DSE mini tub kit.

I sure do like the idea of a watts link. Is there a kit that has upper coil spring mounts etc?
Show some pics when you get it in there.

Here’s my old post showing the installation of the SoT kit. The lower bar/coil over mounts have been moved inboard to allow the 315 tire to fit This is down per the SoT instructions. I also choose the longer lower arms because I was not using the stock from leaf spring mount for the lower bar location.

Does it get a watts link? Or a panhard bar? Looks like pics were prior to assembling that part.

The SoT is a WATTS link setup.

Mathematically the 315 will be a tight fit. I don’t think I can tuck it under as much as I would like. The tightest spot measures out to be 13 inches. Tire manufacturer says the tire is 12.6 wide. Currently the tire is at 12 inches with no rim. My plan is to order a 10 inch rim. Tire manufacturer recommends the smallest rim width of 10.5. The rims I want don’t come in 10.5 widths. Plus the 10 inch will work well with a 305 tire.

May need to 'roll-that-wheel well-lip' just a tad!

Already rolled them when I replaced the panels.

I'm doing the same setup on my 65. Look forward to following your progress.

Hopefully I can now start to focus on my build more. Last week I finished the last of my training for work. Now I’m trying to figure out where I can spend what money I have for the project. Really want to finish the bodywork and paint it but I would like to order rims and tires.
