1968 Mustang cable clutch question

Hey there,

Working on my son's 68 mustang.  We did the roller bearings for the clutch pedal support. Works Great!   Now working on the cable kit.  What are you using on the firewall where the cable comes through to seal off the elements?

Thanks!

Re: 1968 Mustang cable clutch question

Here is the site I purchased rubber grommets that I used for passing battry size cables through body panels.  They offer various sizes, there is a minimum number like 6 or 10, that must be ordered.

Re: 1968 Mustang cable clutch question

I use AC black pookey tape. A wad of it between the aluminum block and the firewall will seal it up nicely. The cable will clear its own path through the tape

Money you enjoy wasting is NOT wasted money... unless your wife finds out.
