Road trip bummer

Well we were at 32 days to go and take off on this great road trip and see some friends I have never meet. You know who you are but it is now delayed about 4 months. My loving wife to a fall in the bathroom and broke her hip. This sucks, surgery will be in the morning and I hope all goes well and she can make a healthy, speedy recover. Trip will be rescheduled latter this year after full recovery.

Re: Road trip bummer

Oh man.....Please give her our best wishes, Chris.  I've had both hips done but not due to breakage.  So sorry for her pain.

Re: Road trip bummer

Yikes, I hope the surgery and recovery go well for her. I pray you're a better caregiver than I am a patient.

Re: Road trip bummer

That is most definitely a bummer.  Before you know it she’ll be wrapped up with physical therapy and you’ll be on an adventure.

Re: Road trip bummer

Wow - sorry to hear that! I hope that the surgery goes well and that her recovery and healing are quick without issues. Since the Mustang is ready to go, that will let you devote more time helping her to heal.

Re: Road trip bummer

Thanks everyone, surgery did go well and now we wait, she made it up to RR for the first time yesterday. All is looking promising at this time. I wont bore you all with details, but will update from time to time. I have installed grab bars in the shower and her bathroom, got the walker and just need to wait for her to get released from rehab. maybe in a couple weeks? mean time I will rewire the car then it will be all new.

Re: Road trip bummer

New update, wife came home today and is recovering nicely. PT says she has very good range of movement and no pain. Now its just a couple months of R&R to recover fully. Thank you all for the prayers.

Re: Road trip bummer

Hi all, Well if we had left on our trip we would have left Portland with sun. Spent the night in Reno and woke up to rain, go figure. Been nice as it has been 80 in Vegas for these 2 days. Now we will see how the rest of the trip plays out.
This is all based on a weather app and a trip that just didn't happen. More in a day or two.

Re: Road trip bummer

Wife doing well is a good thing for sure. How's the car running? Perfect, I hope. Gas mileage okay?
