    Fuel gauge tuning. Finally, a solution

    This $99 gizmo lets you set your sending unit to match your gauge and allows tuning at empty, full, 1/4 and 3/4 tank. I am going to get one!

    Let us know how you like it.  Mine is off about 1/4 tank of fuel so id like to get mine fine tuned.

    Gee, so glad I did the mod by Bullet Bob and re-calibrated my sender unit, modified my pickup and screen and wired in a separate adjustable voltage regulator so my gauge reads empty when I actually have two gallons left..... :-(  All I had to do was buy one of those... whodathunk.

    I'm glad that worked for you, Ron.  Butt (TS&T), my mod only works on stock gauges with stock or repop senders.  Aftermarket instruments are a whole different issue.  Usually GM type senders which are normally bass-akwards from early Ford with respect to the Ohm values.

    Funny that you posted this.  I was just looking at those yesterday.  There are  few others around (and a cheap on on Amazon that has bad reviews.)  I was going to post and ask if anyone has ever used one and if they had success with it.   Some of the direction sheets I read makes it seem pretty complicated to program.    Then I started wondering what holds the program and if it got wiped in a total battery disconnect. 

    I was looking at these gauges for the large pods on the Galaxie dash.  But they are not made in the 73-10 ohm Ford configuration.   They also have quad gauges.   I do believe one of the quad gauges is old Ford/Chrysler.    These contraptions could change the game when it comes to gauge choices!

       Empty!  I got stranded a mile from home thinking I had a 1/4 tank of fuel...LOL

    My daughter read my Summit Racing WISH LIST and sent me one of these for Father’s Day!   Now, hopefully one of the other two daughters will give me a ROUND-TUIT so I can actually install it!!!

    After 13 times of installing and removing sending unit, gas tank, using 2 different sending units, trying BB’s gauge template, I guess need to try this next.

    I’m no good at electrical ohms stuff!   Let me know how it works Steve.  I hadn’t driven the 65 in over a year.

    I like the Holley one that seams to be the simplest to install and set up. Mite give it a try on my C10 when I change over to EAFI. My 65 Stang has the in-tank holley for EFI and works very well. When I first hit "E" i have 3.5 gals left. I know I can safely drive 45-50 miles and still roll into a station.

    Slammed Big Blue, ran over the varmints that messed with the Stang. Now all is good in the NW
