Bash Route

Are the Dallas area folks planning on a caravan on Thursday? I am planning on being in the Dallas area somewhere Wednesday night.

Re: Bash Route

Hasn't been discussed but certainly a good idea. We are East of Dallas so we would connect up south of the DFW area.

Re: Bash Route

Who all is coming from DFW area?
Brian S
Mochaman
Don
Ramses (Saturday only)
Alan
MustangerMike
HudginJ3
SteveG

SteveG and MustangerMike probably coming down US281 instead of I-35?
Maybe BulletBob coming through Dallas as well?  I went down my list of bashers that I know are coming.

Re: Bash Route

Monday, pick up some repair parts and stop at Alan’s Flying Wrench Garage.

Tuesday, make repairs as needed.
After repairs, I’ll play it by ear since my copilot bailed on me. 😜

Wednesday…see what develops, very flexible on schedule.

Thursday Dos Rios Restaurant for dinner and check in hotel.

Re: Bash Route

Well Coffee is being offered on the East Side of Dallas Thursday morning. Nos681 we already have a couple staying in the guest bedroom but I have a neighbor who has volunteered his spare room to a Basher. Or our couch?

Re: Bash Route

We could all meet in Hillsboro where the two I 35's come together south of Dallas at noon. Or meet at Midway airport parking lot on 287 at 10:30. We can't check in till 3:00.

Thats a good plan ,,,  fyi    We also have to  stop (navigator insists) at Buc ees just outside Temple ( about 40 miles south of 35 Junction).  I always avoid Austin by taking the 130 by pass.  Tolls and 80mph limit.

Re: Bash Route

Buc-ee's Is mandatory stop any time you see one. A new Texas tradition. Some of them even have alky-free gasoline.

For you out-of-state folks, they have best clean restrooms and lots of interesting stuff to look at.  The last one you will see is on the north side of New Braunfels, about two miles north of the hotel.

Safe travels!

Re: Bash Route

Doug we could meet in Hillsboro or go slightly south of there in the town of West at the Slovaceks gas station to score on some delicious Kolaches. I grew up in West. Exit 353 I believe and go through the light.
Plenty of gas pumps if needed. https://maps.app.goo.gl/ummKi8A9Hkcs4G4j7

Re: Bash Route

Once we hit North Austin we should take the toll road around city and let the Ponies run at a faster speed. It has a cost but cuts out the horrible Austin traffic.

OK. I’m like that idea.
