ok ,, need opinions on the best four shocks to install. Car is a 66 factory GT fastback, 5 speed, 3:55 rear. Car is used for cruising around town and to various bash's (loaded down w/stuff). Car has Arning drop and Morris mid eye rear leafs. Subframes are connected. 205/70 14 in tires. Looking for smooth cruising similar to what I have now with the kyb gas adjust, they are 15 yrs old and car is now bottoming out. Not looking to change out to a coil over>

Look at the QA1 site. Their shocks look interesting. Really expensive, but interesting.

Thanks I did last night and had sticker shock.

The Bilsteins work nice. Believe it or not, the Monroe Matic HD shocks did quite well on the bash trip. I still had them on the steel springs. Now I have them on the glass springs and they ride pretty darned good.
Will be taking them out to put in the rear Bilsteins when I get a ROUND TUIT.

I think, if best performance/reasonable cost is your objective, that you should go with the Bilsteins. The folks at Eaton/QA1 will tell you not to run gas charged shocks on a classic car, like the Bilsteins, but I'd say a lot of folks could testify otherwise... select the street valving option for the fronts (rears are what they are) and I expect you'll be happy.

Bilstein site does not list a 1966 mustang. Whats the p/n front and rear ??

Call opentracker. He got mine for me, but they were shipped from Mustangs Plus.
Mustang Depot also has them, and they have a 10% sale on everything right now. Code ThankU13 'til Dec 3.
Street Front # 55R054 $99.99 ea
All Rear # 55R056 $99.99 ea
That is $359.96 for a set of four after discount.
I bet opentracker would price match...
