Door seal question

I started looking at how the door seals go on and I think I’m suppose to have a hole at the top part of the door.  Problem is both my doors are aftermarket and do not have a hole for the pin that holds the door seal down.  I have a hole for the end by the vent window.  Anyone know the measurement for this hole location?

Whyknott.....pull the rubber tight (NOT stretched just tight) and glue it down. When its dry drill a hole in the top and put the pin in ?!

Thought about that but I’m not sure if it gets pulled to the top of the door or just below it.  I’ll keep looking for pictures online to see if I can get a consistent idea on its placement.

Re: Door seal question

If you can wait a day or 2, I can get you some pics & measurements from a couple of oem doors without the weatherstripping on them.

From original door on my 66.

How is the fit and finish on your new door?

Looks like the seal goes to the top of the door as well.  Thanks

Now to get outside and start working on it.  On call for work again this weekend, so far the calls are slow.
