I like the look of the Black rims you have on there now.

I thought about using them but haven’t been able to find a front rims in the size I need.  I don’t want any spacers either nor do I want to send the fronts out to be narrowed.  I haven’t spent a lot of time looking for fronts but I have looked.

According to your picture.

This is the tire that came on the rims when I got them. I’ve since put the smaller tire on one of the front rims.

I don't think the $200 price tag for the Vintage custom wheel is that outrageous ... in today's world.

The wheels I want have gone up by over $200 in the last 2-3 years. Roughly $620 apiece for the fronts and $690 apiece for the rears.

Now, IMO, that is an outrageous price for wheels.  Although, I do like the way they look.

Re: Late model wheels on my 66

I have my rims selected and in the cart.  Just afraid to pull the trigger.  I know I’ve triple checked everything and I should be good.  If I’m not it’s a pretty expensive mistake. Lol

I’ll be ordering 17x7 fronts with 4” BS.  That’s what R&C suggest for their MII kit anyways.  Another reason I decided to go with the 4” BS is that size is an in stock size so I can exchange them if they won’t work.  As long as I don’t mount a tire to them.

The rears will be 17x11 with 6.875 BS.  It was either 6.75 or 6.875.  I decided to go deeper and if I had issues I could use an 1/8 spacer. I currently have 1/2” of clearance on the inside with 6.81 BS.

Re: Late model wheels on my 66

Great post info.

I know you won't be using them, but your fronts are 05-09 Bullitts
The version for 94-04 are 17x8 with +24mm offset, so 21mm less BS than theset you have. (And matching center cap style to your rears)
I understand this is moot, but someone may look through you post in the future.
(same wheels going on my '60 Falcon- 94-04 Bullitt, stock 17x8 and aftermarket 17x10.5

That's the wheel I wanted back in 2016 time frame when I was looking. seems like they were less than $300 a rim and I didn't want to pay it then. I bought American Racing version for about $175 a wheel with back spacing that was close, but not close enough. Spent more way more than the price difference for a set to get the clearance issues worked out. Good luck and I hope all fits well.

I just looked up 99-04 bullets and the 17x8 rims are a 30mm offset.  That’s a 15mm difference from what I have. I never noticed that before nor did I think to look for that.  I was under the impression these were 99-04 rims.

I didn’t bother looking up the rears.  Hopefully whom ever reads this post will read it all and understand my car is far from stock.

Three weeks since I placed my order.   Hope they show up sooner than later.
