Re: New rims arrived

That's a really good looking tire and wheel combo.

Re: New rims arrived

Front tires were delivered yesterday, a day earlier than expected.   I’ll take the rims and tires with me to work and try to get them mounted on my way home from work.

Re: New rims arrived

Fronts are installed and happy to say they clear the front brake line modifications I did that allowed me to use the stock 03 brake lines.

Re: New rims arrived

Loooking goood! I'd support the chassis, remove the coil overs, and move the suspension thru its travel. Including with one end of the rear axle down and the other end up. And checking the fronts while turning left and right.

That was all done in the prior test fitting.  The only thing I was concerned about was if I would clear the front brake line location I had come up with.  Both wheels clear.

Re: New rims arrived

9 inch, 31 spline axle shafts, nodular case with Daytona pinion support with a Detroit locker.  The T5 is built by G force.    Just need to order a good drive shaft.

Good traction, even mediocre traction could show you the weak link!! I cringe at the idea of finding out.

Re: New rims arrived

Nice....I wish I could find some 16"s for my 65 so I would not have to run the spacers.

Vintage wheel sells them but they’re not cheap.   Buying a set that doesn’t have custom back spacing isn’t so bad.

Re: New rims arrived

I'm thankful you don't have those jumbo rumz and rubber band tyres.
Looks real  'old skool' with just enough side wall to look vintage.
Good job

Vintage wheel tried to get me to go with an 18” rim in the back.  I said no because I knew it the sidewalll of the tire would be to thin.   I’m very pleased with how they look.  I think it’s a perfect fit.
