I once had an old Dodge dually truck with a slant 6 that looked like that after lending it to a "friend" to move a caravan. Got a call saying it was on the side of a highway, and she didn't know what had happened.Found out from her son, that it didn't like having the gearbox mounted handbrake pulled on at 60.

Seems a lot more like: Diesel dually with locked up rear some moron swapped a new driveshaft into and quickly discovered that the original drivehsaft being mangled wasn't due to anything having been wrong with the driveshaft.
"It won't move!"
"The brakes are just stuck, floor it!"

Or install a Detroit Locker to eliminate one wheel peel. With your open headers you'll never hear the DL.

Had a 79 Bronco with 40" tires. Dumped the clutch and twisted the driveshaft in two. Welded a new one up on the shop floor.
REMEMBER!!! When posting a question about your Mustang or other Ford on this forum, BE SURE to tell us what it is, what year, engine, etc so we have enough information to go on. |
