I spent many super bowl Sundays laying under my 66 while the neighbors had parties!
I am sure I had more fun than they did.

I’ll be driving 300 miles for a meeting first thing Monday morning. No fun will be had in the garage.

I might watch some of it. Have a pretty long to do list today I need to get done.

Well guys, Philly is about 40 minutes from where I live, so I grew up an Eagles fan, and will be watching the game hoping they can get it done for a second time.

Go Eagles!

I did get a chance to try and figure out how I'm going to cut the prevent pipes to fit today among other house hold duties. Then visit family from up north and now home to watch a little bit of the game.

Go Seahawks!

Hell yeah, but save it for next season....

Well, it certainly looked like Mahomes and company had their asses handed to them by the Eagles. The last two touchdowns by the Chiefs in the fourth quarter in garbage time against the second string made it seem the game was closer - but the Chiefs walked into a buzz saw.
It looked to me like a repeat of the Seahawks/Denver game in SB 48. 43-8. Defense wins championships.
(And the halftime "entertainment" sucked) If I was the owner of the car and the guy was standing on the hood like that, I'd have a come to Jesus meeting with him.....

I didn't watch the halftime show, but boy did I enjoy seeing what storied Eagles teams have been known for: smash mouth defense. It may be time to revive an old name and apply it to our front 4: The 4 Horsemen. To never blitz and just have those four monsters up front handle KC's OL like that was awesome.
Then to see our offense, who was criticized all year for not putting up great numbers, and basically being called a one dimensional run only team, pass effectively was also great. The only bright spot for KC was that they did limit our run game. Of course all that led to was faster scores as we passed the ball and Brown and Smith both made big plays.
For once the fringe guys we all think are nuts when they call into sports radio were right. Several guys called in this past week saying it would be a 21 point gap and it would never really be a game. They were spot on. 40-22 makes it seem a lot closer than it was. Without favorable calls and if the Eagles had continued to play all their first string it easily could have been 47-13.

As long as there was a '4' for the Chiefs and and a '2' for the Eagles as the last digit at the end of the game, my son & I would be as happy as we were last year. Oh well, there is always next year.

I had the TV on in the garage while I did what my wife calls "piddling" which is walking around looking and thinking of what I need to do, but never really get anything done Slowly I moved over to a chair and a beer and watched the game. I grew up a Cowboys fan so it was hard to root for the Eagles, but over the years I've gotten so mad at Jerry Jones I do not pay much attention to them. Also my desire to see the Chiefs lose and how darn good the Eagles are got my attention.

Yes, I've heard of the Steagels, but am too young to 'remember" them. (can't say that a lot today)

Good thing you didn't grow up a Jets fan!

I by no means remember the Steagles, but I do know of them. Over the years living in the area I got to know a couple of the older players. Frank LeMaster was a friend of my dad's and Bill Bergey was my high school football coach. Both of them were on the team that went to the SB in '80, and even though they lost were still treated like gods. I got to meet Dick Vermeil a couple years ago too. A really nice, humble guy.
Now, Raymond_B will like this, Randy White went to McKean high school where my wife taught for 13 years at the beginning of her career. The field there is named after him (pretty sure he paid to build it).

That's awesome, Randy White was an animal!
