Today’s killer parts haul

I found a guy advertising another hood for sale, so drove an hour to go check it out.  It had a couple of hail dings under where the scoop cutout would be. But the real new is the rest of the stuff he had. He was converting a rust-free, dent-free 65 coupe to a race car. I wound up buying the doors, fenders, hood, rear valance, hood hinges, rear bumper, front gravel shield, headlight buckets, grille moldings, front spindles, brake drums with hubs, a nice aftermarket fan shroud and some other small parts for a song. Jose bought the hood hinges and rear bumper from me, so it was really a song less $75.
He also has a complete 8” rear end and pony seats with good upholstery that I might go back for next week.

I have been hoarding a 65 passenger side door for many years and these two are in just as good of condition. Zero rust and no cracks on the latch screw holes.

This just shows there is still stuff out there at reasonable prices if you watch the ads diligently.  Learn to read between the lines and look closely at any pictures.

Money you enjoy wasting is NOT wasted money... unless your wife finds out.

Nice score.  I tend to spend a fair amount of time looking at ads myself.   You never know what you'll find.

Nice haul! Guess there's still some out there but getting harder to find. Still look though.

If this forum can't fix it, it isn't broke.
