Re: rear springs??

Generally I think most would recommend 4.5 leaf springs.  Better control of wheel hop without an overly harsh ride.  As far as manufacturer I would also suggest checking stock, because these were hard to get the last time this question was fielded.  Most places were out of stock.  I've used Eaton/Detroit spring with great results, but they have gotten pricey in recent years.

Re: rear springs??

I replaced my rear springs on my 65 with Detriot Speed,4.5 leaf versions (#040104) last year and am happy with them.  I did remove the 1" lowering blocks that had been installed years ago, and the ride height is about same with the Detriot Speed springs.
I did post pictures on the forum last year.

Re: rear springs??

4-1/2 leaf, reverse eye works great on my 66 fastback with 427 stroker, 17x8 wheels with 245x45 tires

Money you enjoy wasting is NOT wasted money... unless your wife finds out.

Re: rear springs??

Many years ago I learned that not all leafs are the same.  I highly suggest paying for a well known brand.

On my old Mustang I had the Mustang Plus 4.5 reverse eye leafs.   Loved them.

Did anyone ever find any 4.5 reverse eye . I use to buy them at  MustangPlus then later Opentracker was selling them. Then they were all backordered and then none at all.
