The platform has nothing to do with the content.  It's up to the Administrators and Moderators to remove the trash and it's up to the members to police themselves and report to the admins anyone who can't police themselves.  There's been a few people who have been removed from FYIFORD due to getting out of line!!

I too like the format, and love the members here.  On the other hand, I'm aware of what that will eventually mean.  If we aren't growing; we're dying.  This forum has been around a lot longer than I've been a member, and I've already seen far too many members go to the rust free Mustang ranch in the sky.  At some point as membership dwindles the forum will go that way too, and maybe that's okay.  We ride it for as long as we can and then that's it.  But if its not okay we need to grown membership, and that will mean we almost certainly need to transition to a newer, more widely used platform.  I'd like posting pictures to be easy, but other than that it doesn't really matter to me one way or the other.  Great things more often than not don't last.  Reality is that I'm younger than most of the other members, and will probably be around longer.  Over the years since the internet became a thing, and car forums have existed, I've belonged to a half dozen of them.  Most surge in activity for some years and then slowly die off as either the vehicles they cover get older and thus worked on less, or other platforms have subsumed the subjects.  Most are still around, but are seeing 2-3 new posts a month vs. 10-20 new posts a day.  Just food for thought, not trying to steer a decision one way or the other.

It is more than a hobby for me...you guys (the regulars) have became people I talk to more than local ....me and Steve text everyday I just wish we could easily post pictures on here. I know some have no problem but it is so aggravating to have to post to those places to store pictures then have to copy/paste just to get a picture to post thats on your phone or computer already.

I don't want to lose the years of valuable posts from the forum, so I will keep it active, although activity might dwindle if people migrate to the Facebook group.

Steve had a MustangSteve FYI forum page back in 2019. He shut it down due to lack of postings.
