With only s couple of posts MAYBE every day, this format is dying. Something has to change, and I am all for it.

For those who don’t like Facebook, it can be a closed group (same as here) and moderated (same as here), but receive a lot more exposure and make picture posting as simple as a click away.

I don't have and won't ever again have Facebook.   ​I think there are a few others of similar mind.  Does it matter how many other current users will be excluded if this forum is moved exclusively to Facebook?

Didn't we discuss this basic topic at length in the past?  It seems to me that there are a couple of root issues - or maybe more than a couple - that prevent growth; this forum isn't very visible in browser searches (as in "mustang forums"), and there are continuing annoying issues with the usability of this platform - as in posting pictures.  

I guess a move to Facebook would address the ease of use, but not necessarily the visibility, and at the cost of losing some members and a lot of the history and value-added content (like the Tips and How-To's).

Unfortunately I don't have a different solution to offer - I suppose the Facebook idea is as good as anything else to try.

Why not stick with FYIFORD or CLASSIC FORD? Or something similar? Might as well use this as an opportunity to attract all classic Ford owners.

I, for one, don't have a problem at all with Facebook, and I'll be 76 next month. I use it every day. It is a good tool to keep in touch with old and new friends, old friends from high school (very helpful to contact people for my 55th reunion a couple of years back) members of my Mustang club, my Vietnam Veterans of America fellow members, many friends from work that frequent many aviation related sites, several US Navy pages (my old ship and squadrons) and various early Ford Mustang sites. 

It's like anything in life - you get out of it what you put into it.

I agree that the name needs to have "Mustang Steve" in it... Maybe something like
"Mustang Steve - Classic Mustang tech and tips"
or "Mustang Steve - Classic Mustang Community"

I am a Facebook user, but there is so much content on there that I'm afraid that this group will just get "lost in the mix"... but I'll try to participate no matter which direction it goes.

As an alternative, what about the message board format that is being used by https://www.vintage-mustang.com (and others)?  It's easy to post pictures, and I think there's a "mobile site" version for use on phones.

Site was originally intended for Classic Mustangs and Fords. Classic means 73 or older to me. Heck, a 73 is a late model to me…

It may depend on where you live too.  Here in DE you can title a car as a classic if its 25 years old and an antique if its 30 years old.

Agree...I use it all the time very handy in keeping up with stuff going on around you I am on several local pages that are people posting things going on in my neighboring countys. Market place is a good place to buy and sell stuff. Pictures are easy to post and the messenger works a lot better than the inbox we have on here. people that dont wanna be on facebook can actually venture as far as they want or stay private and only come to page...Brian had said he was gonna leave this forum open too

Probably because life's only constant is change.  Platforms come and go.  Free platforms start charging money, etc., etc., etc.
