    New Facebook Group

    We now have a Facebook Group based on everyone's feedback. This forum will remain active, and I am working to find some way to keep non-Facebook members in the discussions. 

    The group can be found through the MustangSteve Facebook page. It is called FYI Classic Ford Discussion - Hosted by MustangSteve

    I agree with MS - easy to post pictures. The only drawback i can see vs this forum is there is no index to return to earlier post threads. It will require remembering the poster's name and their post and search for that. Otherwise, a lot of scrolling to find it. Unless I am missing something....

    The thing you are missing is that nobody posts on here any more. I welcome the opportunity to interact with more Mustangers that need legit help.

    If you want to get back to a post, can’t you click on LIKE or SAVE or something?   Still learning here.

    The rules are yet to come.  It will more than likely be the same as the FYI forum.  Be kinda And considerate of your fellow members and keep it clean. 

    I will be sharing the responsibility of running the new page along with Brian.  I have been out of the US most of this month but will return next week.  We will be adjusting to try to make it as appealing as we can.  Until then we appreciate any feedback. And ask members to notify us of any issues

    I would suggest there be some verbage about why the page exists. To obtain real answers to Mustang and Ford questions from people with real world experience       

    I hope it makes it, and is somehow distinguished from all the other Mustang groups out there. If no effort is made to make that known, it will be just like all the other groups. 

    I would think
    The word MUSTANG would be in the title, rather than an advertisement for the company

    I got a couple local guys to Join the facebook group Chad Hendrix and Eddy Sanford hope to get them to a Bash.

    I've given the new FB page a try and posted a video of me on the track having some fun. So far so good!

    I was going to ask this very question about whether dual posting was possible. It would be great if it is.

    I know the new forum is just getting off the ground, but it is as dead as here has been.   I refuse to believe this forum has jumped the shark.   Also seeing first hand some of the new problems with the new format, such as finding posts, and order of retention.

    Seems like at least temporarily, we could discuss just about ANYTHING hobby related such as tools, etc.  to get the forum moving.

    If multiple things can go wrong, the one that will go wrong will be the one that causes the most damage.

    You mention "the new Forum"  are you referring to the new Facebook page???    I would think that any talk relevant to the Mustang hobby would be allowed.  As long as it doesnt get political or talking about our vacation to Miami!!  unless you saw some cool cars while you were there!! LOL

    These are the kinds of things I was concerned about with trying to go to Facebook.
    In my opinion Facebook is not a great "Forum" format.  I think the fact that it's easy to post pictures is really the only thing that could be considered better. 
    I'm not try to be difficult or grumpy... I know that it's impossible to please everyone.  I just don't think Facebook is the right fit.
