Robert Evans, aka “Bullet Bob” passed Feb 4 from an aneurism complication during surgery. My prayers go out for his wife, Jean and his family.
Bob was one of my best Mustang buddies, and he was very respected by all who knew him.
No info on services yet.
I plan to take my 66 to his Montrose, Colorado home town for any funeral or memorial if at all possible in tribute to Bullet. I’m sure he would want us all to remember him in this manner.
Live today to the fullest. You are not promised a single tomorrow.

OMG! This truly breaks my heart. Bob was a rock here on the forum. He helped me so many times with his great ideas and knowledge and the tooling and manuals he loaned me for my 4R70W rebuild. He was an encyclopedia of Mustang and automotive knowledge. His humor and wit and his connection to us all will be irreplaceable. Sadly, the Bashes won't be the same without him. My heart goes out to Jean and his family. So sad! What a loss to us all. RIP BB.
So true Steve, what you said. We all aren't promised a single tomorrow.

Such a huge loss, Bob was amazing. I was looking at one of my favorite bash pix and we have now lost the person on both ends.

God speed BB. Missing you already. I imagine it'll be many years until we get to speak again, but if you see a guy at the bar drinking an Amstel light and talking about his '69 SS396 El Camino its probably my dad. Ask him about his Gran Torino and tell him I said hi.

I had the privilege to meet him at a couple of bashes, and, of course, he was always super helpful on the forum. When I was engine swapping my '91 F150 and had EFI questions he reached out to me privately and emailed me wiring schematics, etc to help me figure it out... (i.e. he went out of his way to help me even though he barely even knew me.)
He was a great guy, and he will definitely be missed! Prayers for his family.

I'm case any of you all didn't read my Bullet Bob Evans Tribute thread, it is posted below.
I spoke with Jean yesterday who is understandably still emotional and crushed that her Bob is gone. She said Bob suffered an aortic aneurysm, which is nicknamed the Widowmaker. He did suffer a little bit before they began working on him. Both Bob and Jean agreed that they should try surgery to fix the aneurysm. He took 10 pints of blood to no avail.
They are still working out when and where they will have a celebration of life gathering, but maybe in the springtime. He will be cremated and there is no church service. She wanted me to tell the Mustang guys that she was happy we were a part of his life and that he was happiest when he was with us.

Hi guys. This is Shawn Hulford, Bob's son in law (Renee's husband). I want to start by letting you know how important you guys were to Bob!!!!!! He talked about the message board guys all the time. We are doing the best we can right now trying to process this whole thing. No services have been arranged yet but as soon as they do I will let you know on this thread. Also I have set up an email address for anybody that would like to share pictures and stories of Bob. The email address is memoriesofbobevans@gmail.com
I have fond memories of the bash that Bob hosted and getting to know some of you guys.
No matter how long you have on this earth it is never enough time!!!!!!

I had not checked on the Forum for a few days due to a remodeling project. Last night I received a text from Corky (Tubo) informing me of BB's passing. I met Bob and Jean at the first bash we attended in 2010 at Red Oak/ Waxahachie and quickly became friends. Our friendship was not as close as it once was but still remained friends. Ironically, My Father in law Joe had that exact surgery a couple months prior to his death. I'm sure the 2 of them will be wrenching and sipping on the finer whiskeys! I attached a picture we took on the Sunday after the Bash where Lisa and I met Bob and Jean and Ken (i believe was his name) at a local restaurant for dinner. BB, my friend, It was great to get to know you. Rest easy!
