Score of the day!! 351W roller block

Just happened to take a break after finishing the assembly of one of the bosses projects and got on Facebook marketplace.   A 351W motor pops up as new and said make offer or it's going to the scrap yard.  I didn't even ask what year it was because a good core 351W block of any kind is well worth a $40 investment.   I didn't even look at it until I got home with it.  I got lucky and it's a roller block.  I'll tear it down and hope it has a roller cam but it's unlikely.  Most likely it's a flat tappet cam.

Lol.  I'll strip it down and stuff it away for a rainy day.  People in this area are asking $400-$600 for them now.   Even non roller blocks have asking prices of $300 or more.

Re: Score of the day!! 351W roller block

I looked on eBay to see truck rollers cams have sold for.  It's crazy they are worth that much.

Nice score.

Did you bring it home in the Mustang?

Re: Score of the day!! 351W roller block

Tire it apart in the bed of the truck.  Rolled it out of the bed onto the yard.  Then rolled it to the driveway to put it on a cart.  It's now safely inside the garage.  Everything looked pretty good for 300k miles.
