in Oklahhoma that is.............kids are safe but, they rode it out in storm shelters....
my place survived just had heavy rains, winds from all directions (no kidding) and tree limbs scattered about................unfortunately, others weren't so fortunate.
spent the weekend cleaning up my place, etc....and just drove back to Houston....long day..
to keep it Mustang/Ford related, none of my 'stangs were damaged and i burned up the interstate in my F=150.............
I hope this weather stuff settles down now.........

yeah, sometimes it sucks living in tornado alley, but it seems to me no matter where a person chooses to live its something.
Almost have to pick your poison anymore.

thanks everyone.......
my small town is Tuttle, OK a little SW of OKC......
Last weekend, El Reno is what sustained the initial hit and it's about 15 miles north of my place.
Forturnately, my kids were in OKC at work and were able to shelter there.......my friends in Tuttle were all "underground" but unhurt

I saw on the news where Tim Samaras, his son and another guy were killed in the Oklahoma tornado.
You may not recognize the name but if you've ever watched Storm Chasers on the Discovery Channel, you've seen him.
When Tim wasn't chasing tornadoes in the spring, he was working at the NTS facility in Colorado. From time to time, he would come and work at the Camden, Arkansas NTS facility. Tim & and I had worked together running some coax and fiber optic lines about two yeras ago, at one of the new test arenas that was being built at the Camden facility at that time.
He was a really nice guy. Hate to hear that this had happened.

Tornadoes aren't funny, but when I first saw this post I thought it said 'Tomatoes'. My sister lives in St. Louis but just got a lot of rain too and all are safe. Looking at pictures of people who've lost everything, including loved ones in some cases, it's hard to imagine how terrible that would be and hard to comprehend how many places, schools, etc. don't have proper shelters. Pretty sickening to think of my kids being stuck somewhere where the only protection is a desk. Glad no one here got hit.
