Hey Corky,
Are ya doin' the "shrimp thang" again?
Welllll, I've been working on "The Shrimp Thang", and there is a plan.
With the number of folks expected Thursday, me supplying the shrimp is a bit past my budget, however if we can share the cost (shooting for $10 a head) I'll have it set up on the Beach.
Could be GoM or Choctawhatchie Bay, fer the scenery and all..

At 4,420 miles I'm guessing you'll be in the running for the long distance award.

162 miles for me. I may try to make that since my birthday is in OCT
I was an origional member at Mobile Bay Mustang Club in 1988 at TreadWell Ford. Its been a long while but I have been into mustangs since about 1983 myself. I used to go to the pensacola show when Jim Salter and Randy would bring their trailer over and sell parts. I hope to make this BASH this year.

Sherry and I will driving in, but on I-10 from San Antonio rather than from Dallas with the usual caravan. We will figure out a renezvous location as bash gets closer.
Anyone else coming from San Antonio?

Looking forward to a future meeting with you all but I am nowhere close to having it ready this year.
Maybe in two years

As an FYI to Bash Attendee's: At previous Bash's, attendee's like to bring and swap license plates from their respective Countries, States and Provinces. If you have any license plates available, please consider bringing them to Ft Walton Beach this year! They can be an old vanity plate, etc.
I plan to bring about a dozen and hopefully pick up a few new ones for my collection.........

There has not been a lot of activity on the bash as of late. This week I have aligned the front end using a Longacre gauge. I changed the oil and filter to Mobil 1 10W-30 with a Wix filter. My thermostat housing has been weeping and I change gaskets and it still weeps. I once again tackled this and I think after cleaning, filing, sanding, making my own gasket and a little permatex blue I think I have the seep under control. Other things accomplished are relays for the brake and turn signals in the trunk. This broke the cruise control so another relay had to be added to the brake light switch to allow the cruise control to work. Now all that is needed is a wash and wax for the trip down south.

REMEMBER!!! When posting a question about your Mustang or other Ford on this forum, BE SURE to tell us what it is, what year, engine, etc so we have enough information to go on. |
