Why do we have to join?  I don't understand why it has to be a closed group.

Re: New Facebook group FYIFORD FORUM Members & Friends

so as to keep the whackos (and spammers out)

Having run a forum and a page before, you would rather want a closed group where the 'likers' and 'members' arent getting spammed and hacked into. or inappropriate stuff being posted on timelines..

It has all happened to my page / forums I used to help run before

If it aint broke, I have'nt tried to "Fix" it yet!

Exactly! It's similar to those who can't help themselves and post multi-paragraph replies to a question when a single sentence would suffice....

Is that an issue that happens on this forum?
Seems to me that social media is an enormous pain in the a$$ and causes more issues than it addresses.

Rudi,
It looks like Josh’s response was too subtle for you: he was directly spoofing Gaba’s response. That is a classic example of Josh’s brand of Reverse Polish humor.

Actually, you're incorrect. I wasn't directing my response to gaba's post nor was I injecting any form of humor...

Re: New Facebook group FYIFORD FORUM Members & Friends

I'm on several forums that have the traditional forum and a Facebook page or other Social Media site. It's no big deal, people are free to use either and each seems to attract a bit different audience. One won't take away from another.

I joined earlier. I’m not a huge FaceBook user but I’m on a handful of Mustang forums on there.

Re: New Facebook group FYIFORD FORUM Members & Friends

I love FB.  I joined all my local towns buy and sell pages.  Its great for buying and selling cars and parts.  A lot quicker than craigslist and no fees like Ebay.
