Finished removing left side trunk floor. I will prime quarter panel this weekend.
Next step roll out of barn and pressure wash inside of truck and surrounding area.
then fit the new truck floor in place.
Easier said than done.

Just a quick update on Ol Paint. Dropped the trunk floor into car fit like a glove.
Very pleased with the fit at the wheel house. Just a few clamps and screws and the floor
 looked really great. Whew fellas been sweating this part. Need to do some scribing to trim off
excess metal then I,m ready to prime and weld into car.

Glen,
You make a great suggestion, but mini tubs and foot wide tires just ain't for me.
With today's tire tech I should be quite happy with rubber inside the std wheel opening.
Who knows some day when I'm gone next owner might want a stock ride.
now some nice rims and tires are definitely in the future.
Well at this point waaay in the future.

Hudgin you are 100 % correct.
But it was my 5th Mustang for under $200.00 bucks.
Now we cant buy a decent piece of chrome for that kind of money.
Drove it fours years, always worked on it myself.
All of my friends at the time were  the same.
What a different time.

Just a few pics to share of my winter progress. Rear crossmember blasted clean.
Left side trunk floor install begun.
All parts primed with epoxy primer .
Despite the cold trying to make some progress. 
Let me qualify my last statement Cold for SE Louisiana.
I know some of you fellers are really fighting the cold weather
Spoke with a fellow employee in Wisconsin today she said it was -50F below.

Slow and steady is the best way.  Will take longer to go back and fix a mis-measurement and such.  I can't tell from the pic but I don't see the hole in the sheet metal for the fuel sending unit wire.  If not easier to knock one in now while you have the leg room.  Looking good.

Just a quick update
Thought I would finish welding the trunk floor today.
Well Mr Murphy got in and took over my welder.
Refused to feed wire properly. Finally traced the problem to a bad
Liner, It is the original and had had a ton of wire run through it.
Will pick one up this week.
So I wanted to make some progress.
Rooted around and found the hinge pin kits for doors.
Removed rt side door and rebuilt both hinges.
Man the door closes with just the touch of my finger.
little things add up to a complete project.

Trunk Floor welded Complete.
Well fellers the Glacier finally calfed.
All spot welds and long seam weld at Diff hump complete.
Checked my measurements from original ,all but one is right on the money
Right front corner is out 3/32".
Gotta believe with these cars that's within spec.
I'm a happy bumkin.

Purchased a new welding set up.
Hobart Handler 190  with optional spool gun.
This is a much better welder than my Harbor Freight gift from Christmas past welder.
Hopeful this is my last welder purchase. Also hopeful for better and more consistent welds.
