Replacing old wiring, complete

I'm going to replace the wiring on my 1968 Mustang Convertible, 289, Automatic, Vintage Air A/C and Non-Power Brakes and Top. There two major wiring makers, Painless and American Auto. If anyone has done this job I would appreciate any comments of the two, such as quality, ease of installation or any other issues with either one. Thanks for the time.
Joe

Re: Replacing old wiring, complete

Painless ain't, neither is AAW, but of the two AAW is the way to go, primo customer support.

This is what you have to look forward to!.  :O

Re: Replacing old wiring, complete

Thanks for the info guys. After checking both products I like the extra's AAW offers vs Painless as you suggested Rudi. Thanks for the site Don, looks like another good place to find the hard to get stuff. Since I'd like to replace the whole nest in the car I think AAW is the way I'll go. They also offer a better price on the complete harness. Hey Rudi is your Stang at that stage or is that a before picture. It looks like one of my before pictures. As they say "been there, did that". I should have done the wiring new insted of using the old harness, but I went and bought the A/C for the better half. Not a better choice for a Convertible, since I like driving with the top Down.
Thank again guys,
Joe

Re: Replacing old wiring, complete

Joe don't know about vintage AC but keep in mind AAW states their fuse block mounting will interfere with stock AC.

If this forum can't fix it, it isn't broke.

Re: Replacing old wiring, complete

Very clean install Rudi.  The hidden wiring is a nice touch.

Re: Replacing old wiring, complete

Although AAW says the harness will interfere w/ A/C,  there is enough slack to move fuse box over so A/C will clear thru firewall.
