67 fastback trunk light power source

Hello everyone,
My trunk light just stopped working so im tracing the wire to see why. Was wondering what the most convenient location would be to pull power for a trunk light. I know there are a few locations. I know it has to be full hot to work. Its a 67 fastback 390 gt. I ran it down the driver side rocker channel to behind the kick panel, and up behind the dash somewhere-was trying to avoid taking the gauge  cluster out, it got hot out so i took a break. Where are some good locations?
Thanx

Re: 67 fastback trunk light power source

What about the door switch for the dome light? Should be able to pickup a constant hot there.

No dome light, upper and lower consoles.
Anything on the back of the ignition switch or cigarette lighter?

Re: 67 fastback trunk light power source

Are there lights in your consoles that come on when you open doors?  If so, as Bolted suggested...use constant 12v at door jamb switch.

Do you have an amplifier for stereo in trunk?  Could tap 12v from there.  Just make sure to install an in-line fuse.
