And Torch, Grinding wheel, Welder
After 31 years ownership The old Emberglo Girl is getting new seat pans/support braces, and rear frame rail.
Asking here?
Any info on source / quality of these refabed parts.
I found everything at CJ Pony. Some are Dynacorn, Sherman Frame and Goodmark.
Pans just say Floor Pan Premium Full-Length Coupe/Fastback 1965-1970 with no makers mark

Are you adding a new toe pan for passengers side??

Don.........are you doing the work, orrrrrr..............??
If you do the work will the ENTIRE pan and braces be replaced?
I 'feel' all replacement parts are just NOT as "beefy" as the original metal even considering the 31 years of wear.
If you do it you maybe be able to just replace 'sections' of the pan preserving more of the original metal.
Lotsa stuff to consider.

nope both toe pans good, replacing both seat pans, support braces and risers. passenger side rear frame rail at shackel. Started the WYAIT . Both pans were replaced by other owner in the early 80s. they were installed at different heights and riser pans were clocked wrong (total mess) bottle jack use completely smashed seat support braces (NO again not me) The only rust issue is the rear frame rail. The driver side has no rust but will WYAIT and see after tear down.

NOPE I hadn't use a welder since high school. Local race Clubs (shevy) recommended Precision Racecraft in Crowley Tx. Huge shop on home owner private lot. 4 employees. Old School guys. Got a bid for all fab and welding. I am doing all interior tear out and any "soft" stuff that takes time. He charges $65 hour real time soooo I'm now a worken.

Don, those floor pans are thicker than the ones you find that are painted black. The ones I got like those several years ago were made in Canada....suspect those are as well

Don,
No worries. Whatever you put in there will outlast you if the car is kept in this Texas climate and away from the Gulf.
Better,
Al
