Nobody sells a quality replacement turn signal switch. Bite the bullet and buy a NOS Ford switch.

Who supplies NOS?

Mac’s has the NOS switch just under $200.
I am surprised the Scott Drake switch functioned upon initial installation. The metallurgy of tge springs is total junk.

Aftermarket steering wheel adapters can destroy a brand new switch. If you have one, replace it as well when you replace the switch. The problem is, with repeat installations, they stretch and will pull down farther on the tapered shaft than they are supposed to, over-compressing the horn contact springs.  Also, ditch those nasty roll pins that come with the adapters and replace them with a factory style canceling cam.   It will make for less stress on the canceling arms of the switch.

I just purchased a NOS turn signal switch. Some years back I purchased a reproduction original steering wheel. Do I need to replace anything before installing the new switch?

That's a relief. It looks like I threw out my original steering wheel. How do I double check and confirm that the reproduction steering wheel has the correct cancelling cam on it? The Dennis Carpenter turn signal switch will cancel out (as well as randomly come on).

It is real simple to adapt the original canceling cam to a Grant adapter.
