FYI: Godzilla is now available as a crate engine

https://www.motor1.com/news/431393/ford-godzilla-v8-crate-engine/

$8150.

Tuned and boosted numbers on this thing have been crazy.  It's 430 hp from the factory.  I saw someone dropped a supercharger and already got 700hp.

Can't wait to see someone drop this into a restomod.

Re: FYI: Godzilla is now available as a crate engine

Its great to see Ford finally building a pushrod gas V8 again.  Hopefully they release a crate version that's bumped up a bit.  I mean its hard to get excited spending over $8k on an engine and knowing you're going to have to spend another $3,500k or more on a blower to get more power out of it.  That's the problem they've had with the modular engines since day one.  In this day and age its just hard to get excited about less than 1HP per cube, especially from an engine this massive, and thirsty.

For truck use, by contrast, my 6.0 made 325/570 stock.  Did use a turbo, but is also a pushrod engine.  Downside is it weighs 1,000lbs.  But, it now makes 660/950 without changing the cam, cylinder heads, exhaust manifolds, or intake.  The newer engines are lighter and make more power stock, but they aren't as robust on the bottom end, so the head room to increase power without breaking stuff is less.  I'm also not a fan of what the emissions have done to the mileage ability on the newer engines.
