Flathead engine swap

Besides cars, truck, and tractors, where were they used?

Re: Flathead engine swap

A lot of them were used in those commercial air compressors. 4 of the cylinders were engine and 4 were air compressor.

Re: Flathead engine swap

Ford built a lot of engines over the years used in irrigation pumps, so that's also a possibility.  Powerful engines of all kinds typically made their way into boats, especially speedboats.  I'd be flatheads were no exception.  My Dad had a Donzi years ago that had a BOSS302 in it.  Later he had a 42' sport fisher that has a pair of 440 Chryslers in it.
