Are you going with manual or power steering with your Coyote...I am told
it's a big deal because of fitment and belt and pulley issues.
Does anyone have any info on the subject?

Who do you recommend as a supplier for the torque arm suspension?

Ok I'm at the point of upgrading the suspension now as the rotisserie work continues on my 66 coupe
I'm undecided between Total control and Mustangs to Fear for athe front clip short version....
The rear is going to be 4 link...
I'm looking for input on both suppliers

How much did you have to enlarge the trans tunnel as I am in the process of replacing the floor
pans now and could save on cutting and welding one seam?

Move over Fred Flintstone...
We will need to be innovative to fit my son's 6"6" frame in this 66...

Hello Henry,
Thanks for the reply and advice. It does make perfect sense what you are saying, the reason why we are using the  individual front to back floor pans is twofold, we are going to have to cut the tranny tunnel anyway to make room for the larger transmission and the single side pans will make it easier to cut a channel through for the frame connectors for more ground clearance since we are deleting the rear seat to add a roll bar.

Today is my son's birthday and father's day...he was born on father's day 1995.
We finally finished building the rotisserie and started replacing the driver's side floor pan ,the only real
rust on this car is on the floor.

It all started in October 2016 when my son approached me about buying a Fox body. I told him to go ahead
and buy it...he said "No I want to dismantlet and rebuild it with you the way we want to have it". My response
was that I would prefer a 65/66 Fastback. After some research he returned with his preference for the Coupe.
I then mentioned it to my good friend who is well routed in the auto community, two weeks later on Christmas Eve he
called to tell me he found a 66 Coupe . The three of us went to check it out...my friend who owns a 65 Fastback
was really impressed with the condition so we bought it and dragged it home January 6th 2017...The dream begins!
Pics to follow I am still struggling with Tiny Pics!

Classics are awesome but I also love the direction this vintage passion has taken. Another
form of resurrecting and improving on a true masterpiece. The beauty is  to see young people
preferring this choice over torque steering high po 4cylinder missiles....

Thanks for all your input I really appreciate it,so far the Ford stand alone seems to be the general consensus. As for the suspension TCI or Detroit Speed are the front runners.I'm leaning towards TCI with Detroit speed mini tubs

Hello Rez and everyone else on this thread.. I'm a newbie here also and just purchased a 66 coupe in January as a father and son project. It's going to be a pro touring car with a full upgraded suspension and Coyote engine.
I am looking for some insight also in order to minimize  time consuming  and costly mistakes.
My first question is, should I keep the original pedal box(automatic) which will be converted to standard shift or is there a better alternative ...cable or hydraulic clutch?
