Not sure if I have discussed this before, a search didnt show.  On my 65, if it sits for a length of time it takes for ever to start the thing.  Even with the choke closed it still wont start till you crank on it a looooong time.  Usually I have to pump the crap out of it while cranking for several minutes (it seems like it).  After it starts its fine and will fire right up even the next day.  It's just when it sits for a few days that it will do that.  I am wondering if the fuel is draining back to the tank and it takes a while for it to fill back up??? Wondering about putting a check valve on the line to hold the fuel.   I am running a stock mechanical fuel pump to a Edelbrock 1403 (i think) carb

What are the advantages or disadvantages of a clutched fan vs a non clutched fan??   Those of you who are running a fan clutch, are they thermal or non-thermal???

While in Myrtle Beach, Mike and Carol suggested going to the Wheels of Yesteryear Museum.  The had a lot of cars but very few Mustangs!  One thing they had was this trailer.  Very well done!!

Sorry Mike, I tried to post the pics from my phone but failed!!
Lisa and I met Corky (Tubo) and Karol in Savannah and visited Hilton head, Charleston and Myrtle Beach
After spending a few days with Mike and Carol, Corky and Karol headed home.  Lisa and I travelled further north and visited Jerry and Lori Fitch at their new North Carolina home.  It was a great east coast mini bash!!

I always enjoyed talking with Joe at the bashes. He had some great stories. Fitting that he passed on Veterans Day. RIP Joe.

He was VERY proud of his service to our country, and would talk about it for hours if needed.  I heard many many over the 46 years I have been associated with him.  He has given new meaning to Veterans day!

Several of you met my Father in Law, Joe.  He attended many of our bashes when Lisa wasnt able to.  Monday, Joe left this world, giving new meaning to Veterans day.  He was a Vietnam Veteran and served as General William Mccafrey's crew chief. Joe had several Mustangs in his younger years and really enjoyed the bashes

It only took me 13 bashes to win!  I have to thank Carol (with a C) Holt for signing me up!  I didnt have the courage to do it myself!  And thanks to that Chrome breather cap that provided me with adequate ventilation to be able to accomplish such a feat!!  Thanks to My cheering section (Jean Evans) for rooting me on in place of my wife who was doing medical evacuations and thanks to Josh k Bob, cause I could never beat him!!  And thanks to all the other competitors who took a dive to let me win!!  Lisa and I had a great time!!

Lisa and I are flying into Burbank on Wednesday, then driving up on Thursday.  We plan on doing some sight seeing around Burbank on Wednesday afternoon and Thursday Morn.  We will head back to Burbank on Sunday and will fly home on Monday or possibly Tuesday.
We originally were planning on driving out and leaving Sept 16 and spending about 5 weeks touring the west including Mt Rushmore, Yellowstone, Vegas, Grand canyon etc.  However, Lisa's Dad (Joe)  some of you probably remember him as he attended several bashes with me,  His health has declined over the last year and spent the last 9 months either living with us or Lisa's sister or in the Hospital.  So if he decides to behave himself we will be at the Bash.

Looking forward to seeing everyone after missing last years Bash due to Josh k Bob's Funeral.

Well at least the socket didnt go down the carb or intake or some other entrance to the engine.  Worse case, it would suck to be following you when it makes it way out!!

MS, I put a new Speed Hut fuel gauge in my 65.  It is programmable to fit any application.  the programming process consists of a button that you push when the tank is empty then you fill the tank and push the button again and PRESTO it calibrates to your sending unit.  Works great till it quits working great!!  I need to recalibrate it but there always seems to be something else to do!!
