    A little progress made on Anna's 66 Convertible.

    I've been cleaning up the back seat bracing area that ties everything together. Little bit of welding, patching, cleaning, sealing. Then I was able to start setting the sheet metal pieces in place. Once everything is getting to fit correctly I can drill holes for the Clecos clamps and that will mark the welding areas. Drill about a million welding holes and start attaching metal. 

    Oh, and apparently me working on Anna's Mustang is NOT considered "helping" with getting the Bash set up. Crazy talk right there.

    The only thing I am going to weld at this point is the Rocker panels. They are exactly where they need to be. I am still waiting on the right rear quarter panel that I ordered from Summit. Delivery is in June. Panel I am using right now is missing the rear piece going around tail light. 

    I don't see how I can put the doors on for temp fit. The A-pillar area isn't attached for the door hinges to attach.
    Decklid and taillight panel are also going to be temp clamped into space if I ever get the right quarter from Summit.

    Just sayin...   if you do not have every part in position, you will be darned lucky to not wind up with some really bizarre door, fender and decklid gaps.

    Money you enjoy wasting is NOT wasted money... unless your wife finds out.

    Yep......arn does funny stuff sometimes (not ha-ha funny...just funny-funny!) Just tacking everything first is good advice.
    That way..........not a bunch of  cutting/grinding when everythangz in place.

    Maybe put decklid, doors and fenders and hood in position,  with correct gaps and temporary weld some straps across the gaps in a couple of places to hold the parts in correct position.  Then weld underlying parts so they can fit to those fitted parts.
