Re: EVERYBODY DO THEIRSELF A FAVOR AND

Been talking to my agent about that recently, appraisal required.

Is there someone at or near the Bash that can do that Steve?

Re: EVERYBODY DO THEIRSELF A FAVOR AND

Yep, any classic or collector vehicle should be on a stated value policy based on an appraisal.

Re: EVERYBODY DO THEIRSELF A FAVOR AND

Not sure in other locations, but Grundy has been by far the cheapest agreed value insurance I have found.  28K agreed value on my Lightning was $376 a year with just sending pictures. $40K agreed value was $520 a year, but they wanted more pictures and a waiver saying no racing. Since the truck isn't on the road yet I have not pulled the trigger.

Re: EVERYBODY DO THEIRSELF A FAVOR AND

It's been haggerty for me. Didn't bat an eye at the agreed value, annual premium $313.00

Not a daily driver, garage kept, occasional use. Good enough for me. Just having liability coverage from Flo or whomever, is not a wise choice....

Re: EVERYBODY DO THEIRSELF A FAVOR AND

Haggerty for me too.  Been with them since we bought the Heap in '05 and they have never asked for an appraisal as I've raised the value over the years as the resto work was done.  I've just sent pix and asked to raise the value...the send me a bill for the revised premium...no problem.

Re: EVERYBODY DO THEIRSELF A FAVOR AND

I've got Condon & Skelly. Same deal. Send in pics, no appraisal for agreed value. They actually increase the agreed value about 2% each every, of course the premium goes up a bit too.  I've had my other car insured with them since '04 and last year I looked at the agreed value and thought it was actually higher than market value. I called them up and said I thought it was too high and they reduced the agreed value and reduced my premium accordingly.

Re: EVERYBODY DO THEIRSELF A FAVOR AND

I price shop and Haggerty won. Switch to them a months just before that driver side tire blow in Nebraska on our way out to Hot August Night in reno 10 yrs ago. They had there agent at the show look at the damage and start the paper work. Had a $2400 check in a week after we got home. They even knew about the new, but (12 yr old tire) that failed.
Yea, I like Haggerty. Most others would have made that an issue for sure.
