I just can't bad-mouth the M II. It kept the Marque alive during a bad period. Mustang has never been out of production since 4-17-64. Not too many Camaros can make that claim.

My first mustang was a 76 V8 automatic. Then I bought a 77 Cobra II and it was the first car I ever redid. Built my first engine, 5-speed and a 9 inch axle. That car was fast!!!! Solid flat tappet cam, don’t recall the specs but it would pull to 7200. Problem was the T5 didn’t like to shift above 7,000rpm. I’ll try to did up some pics.
Could never get under 14 seconds due to traction issues but would run 114-116mph in a quarter mile.

I'll always like that 460 powered MII that Jack Roush had.

Actually - NO Camaros can make that claim. They have been dumped twice now.
REMEMBER!!! When posting a question about your Mustang or other Ford on this forum, BE SURE to tell us what it is, what year, engine, etc so we have enough information to go on. |
