Started wet sanding

I had some really heavy runs at the front of the fender at the body line running down.  I used a razor blade to take the high spots down and a quick buff.   It turned out way better than I thought it would.   I really thought I would ruin it and have to respray it.   This will be a long slow process.    Hopefully I can get myself in the garage after work and get a little down every day.   Running out of time.  Our done will be home in about two months.

One picture is after the razor blade and wet sanding.   The other is after a quick buff.    I need to order new buffing pad and a flat am pad.

Re: Started wet sanding

That’s an interesting colour, seems similar to mine which is non Ford.
My paint is a single stage urethane with hardener that did not need wet sanding or buffing, it’s called “Rosso Swift” a 1990’s Italian colour.

It's Ford Race Red.   It's the same color as my wife's 2022 Bronco.

Re: Started wet sanding

Drivers side is done.  Hood is almost ready to be buffed.  Not sure why I can't post pictures.

I decided not to start it and try to tune it and set the timing.   Figured I would focus on wet sanding.
