Not hard to believe in this day of online viewer counts driving money. I'm sure many videos with quality content, like your videos, are being "stolen" to rack up view counts.

FYI Ford, Classic Mustang Tech Discussion » Electric fan learning curve » 7/10/2025 7:49 PM |
I didn't "technically" read every word of every reply, but I did try to skim them looking at the conversation.
Here is what you want. When you're cruising on the open highway and the natural air flow through the radiator is keeping the temperature steady just above the t-stat setting (say steady at 200), you do not want the electric fans running. No reason for those fans to be running. So I agree with the advise you've been given to turn the fans back OFF at 205 (at least) for a 195 t-stat. I probably wouldn't turn the fans on until 215 or so (10 degrees higher than the 205 turn off temp). Hopefully, your fans won't be running all the time.
Edit: I only just read the post right above mine. Wiring the fan to run all the time will just result in the continuous running of the electric fan motor and the continuous generation of the power needed to run it by the alternator. If you are good with this, then the wiring could definitely be simple and basic.

With the trunk being so small, and considering the very few flats I've had in all my years and miles, I opt to take the risk when I travel. But you are right, there is a chance for a flat among other reasons for being stranded on the side of the road. I do carry a plug kit, jack, and pump. Of all the flats I've had, only one involved the sidewall being cut rendering it not fixable, and one other exploding. The remaining flats were just punctures..

FYI Ford, Classic Mustang Tech Discussion » How can I tell if I have a bad fuel pump » 6/05/2025 11:28 AM |
Fuel injection systems have to build pressure before starting. When you turn on the key, the computer usually runs the pump for about 10 seconds to pressurize the fuel rail. Look up how to test the fuel pressure on your truck. Once you have a tester, just turn on the key and test for proper fuel pressure. A bad pump should show up right there.
Also, you can check for a fuel system cause of a no start by squirting starting fluid into the throttle body. If only the fuel is the issue, the engine will start and run for a brief time until the starting fluid is consumed.

I posted this picture from my computer. In the upload window there is a "browse from your computer" link that I clicked. Then I selected the photo and clicked Upload. It generated the URL code for the picture underneath which I typed this text. Then I clicked Submit to post the reply. The same process should work for you.

When you tried following the steps I laid out in post #3 above, exactly which step did not work as I described?

I mailed 5 bills to Delmarva Power, which is a Delaware based company from the post office in Newark. They were going to Wilmington, which is all of 9 miles away. 4 out of 5 arrived in 3 days (still absurd, but most everything now goes to Philly before coming back to DE). The 5th one took 2 weeks to get to Delmarva. They tried to charge me a late fee. I called in and they said "we can't control the mail", to which I responded "fair enough, but neither can I, so unless you can prove that the bill which took 2 weeks to arrive was postmarked later than the other 4 I'm not paying the late fee, because one would expect that when bills are mailed 10 days in advance of the due date, and only must travel 9 miles, that they would reasonably arrive early". Grumble, grumble, "use online bill pay", grumble, grumble, "I'll credit your account for the late fee".
I really try to only get stuff sent UPS now. FedEx has played too many games in the past with deliveries. UPS shows up when they say they are going to.
My local utility only supports credit card transactions using their online payment. They charge a fee for a credit card payment. My BankOfAmerica checking account has online bill pay without fees. This is like sending a check. Also, they support scheduling the payment. I use the BOA bill pay feature to schedule my utility payments without fees or risk of loss in the mail. Probably your bank also offers online bill pay. I've been paying this way for years now. Works great.

As you can see above, the following steps just worked for me. I'm using Firefox on a Windows 11 pc.
First, I took a screen shot of your post which put it on the PC clipboard.
Then, I clicked the "Post Reply" button on your thread.
Then, I clicked the "Upload" button on the Post Reply window.
Then I used CTRL "V" on the keyboard to paste the image from the clipboard into the upload window.
Then I clicked the green UPLOAD button to actually upload the screen capture.
Finally, I Submitted the post to the thread.
These are all of the detailed steps I used.

You should tell what device you are using, which browser you are using, and exactly what steps you are attempting then perhaps someone might be able to recommend the change you need to make to successfully post the pictures you want to post. Your one line of "I still can't get it to work" doesn't provide us with enough information to offer assistance.

Well, I went ahead and bought the cast steel anvil from HarborFreight. I don't have a place I want to put it but I have wanted a good anvil for years now. I can't recall exactly what they are right now but I've also bought a few other items I have wanted but didn't need badly at the moment.

I did the test above by clicking the "Upload" button on the post reply box. Then I took a screen shot of the window that popped up from the "Upload" button. This put that window in my clipboard. Then I used "Ctrl" "V" to paste the image into the window. This uploaded the screen capture and I just posted the reply. This was done in the Firefox browser.
Bottom line, I think the "Upload" button should work for you.

My sister-in-law was having a recurrent issue with mice building nest on the cabin filter of her daily driver which would produce a foul smell. Finally, they chewed on the wiring causing a final straw where my brother brought the issue to my attention. I did some research and installed a 12v ultrasonic device under her hood. This was 2 years ago and she hasn't had any mice in the car since. It seems to be effective.

FYI Ford, Classic Mustang Tech Discussion » Summit racing carburetor 600 cfm questions » 3/20/2025 9:35 AM |
It is easy to pull the carb and do the work on the bench. Consider pulling it, cleaning it good and putting it back. Probably your needles and seats are fine, just inspect them and clean them. If your carb to intake gasket is stuck, then coat the new gasket with grease on both sides before installing it to prevent it from sticking in the future.
REMEMBER!!! When posting a question about your Mustang or other Ford on this forum, BE SURE to tell us what it is, what year, engine, etc so we have enough information to go on. |
