Ditto to all y'all. Bullet, I thought the most important day in our history was last November 5th.

A dissatisfied customer will cost you 72 customers over the course of the life of your business.  Harvard business school did a study which showed this.  The fact that you did everything correctly, legally, etc. won't change that.  When I encounter a potential customer who is dead set to do something wrong, with which I KNOW they will have problems down the road I will simply walk away if they won't see reason.  My reputation is worth far more than whatever that job would bring in.  I've spent 20 years building my reputation and my business, and I'm not willing to risk either.  In the end, it won't matter what I told them.  It won't even matter what the contract they signed says.  When they talk to other people who may be my next customer they can say whatever they want, and because of the trust those other people have in them they will be believed.  I'd much rather them say "You should talk to this guy because he told me I'd have problems, which I did, and walked away rather than take my money.  Don't use the schmuck I used."

What customers of Steve are we talking about?  Did Steve open a used car lot of which I'm not aware?

Let it sit a few months after your done being pissed off at it.  Then pull all the CVF stuff off and add a 5.0 foxbody front dress.  Sell the CVF stuff on Ebay.

This sounds to me like a really good idea.

Yup, my one purchase of that housing produced the same result. Butt moon's housing like it is a better piece.

Who  is Butt moon?

😂 This guy.

Deals are to be had on eBay for slightly used and new tires with free shipping. Mount and balance at your favorite local shop. Just bought a pair of new rears for $125 each.

You might find the following thread from VMF an interesting read.  It is from 2019 but probably still useful.

Steve I would read this thread thoroughly. I recommend the 4R70W, which is the finished and upgraded version of the AOD. Get a controller and your pretty much done. If you have headers the collector will probably need to be widened to fit the wide AOD.

I had Maier racing tri-y’s from early 90’s and did not have to modify the headers for shock tower clearance.

Based on original design.

Power steering drop bracket for the factory p/s ram was required.

Clearance to the accordion boot was really close.

The headers worked great with early 65 motor mounts too.

It would be nice to have those headers to use to make a fixture to fab up some headers.

Summit warrantied a Tilton hydraulic throw out bearing that was well beyond their return policy. Tilton doesn't warranty the part. Summit in Reno can sometimes give me next day delivery. They've got my business.

Can you put the guts of a right side mirror into the left mirror? I've had mine apart but don't recall what they look like.

I'm not sure.    I'll have to google that.

No, you cannot do that.
But, you can clip the three driver side cables inside the mirror housing. Pack the housing full of non-hardening seam sealer type pookie and set the mirror position so you can see out of it. I did that on a 70 Boss years ago just to get it to hold a steady position. This was long before those cars became valuable.

I did this to my floppy right mirror years ago on your tip. Works great.
