FYI Ford, Classic Mustang Tech Discussion » Wheel and Tire upgrade » 2/19/2019 1:42 PM |
Thanks for the info. I hadn't considered 17s, but TKO has me thinking about them. I have tried to mock up a 16 x 7 and you are right, it does appear to clear everything. I will make a decision and order this week. Thanks again.
FYI Ford, Classic Mustang Tech Discussion » Wheel and Tire upgrade » 2/19/2019 8:22 AM |
Just finishing up a Granada front disc installation on my 67 Conv. and now for wheels. It is stock except for the Shelby/Arning drop. I would like to use Torque Thrust D 15 x 7, 3.75 bs or preferably 16 x 7, 4.0 bs. It appears that a 16 x 7 with a 205/55R16 tire will fit. Any help or suggestions before I order will be greatly appreciated.

FYI Ford, Classic Mustang Tech Discussion » 70's & 80's rust patching (Funny)............(Pics) » 12/21/2013 10:55 AM |
Back in the late 80s, being a novice to welding and body work, I signed up for a night course in autobody repair at a local community college. The instructor owned a local body shop. The second night he showed us how to repair a rusted rocker panel. He hammered in the rust with a hammer and filled it with body filler. I never went back.

I too spent Saturday at my first BASH visit. I met some really nice folks and enjoyed the day. It is nice to be able to put faces with the posters names now.
FYI Ford, Classic Mustang Tech Discussion » 68 window regulators » 9/28/2013 4:02 PM |
I replaced my '67 drivers side regulator with one from VA Classic Mustang Supply. It fit perfectly and operates smoothly. There may be better ones, but I am completely satisfied with this one.
FYI Ford, Classic Mustang Tech Discussion » 67 mustang windshield washer bag location » 8/14/2013 2:04 PM |
On my '67 the washer bag bracket is mounted 1 3/4" below the top of the apron on the front end. It is mounted parallel to the raised part it is mounted on, making the rear end of it 1 7/8" below the top of the apron. This is measuring straight down, not following the contour of the apron. The front end of the bracket is 9 3/8" back from the radiator support. The bracket is spot welded on. This is an original apron and bracket. Hope this helps and that my description isn't to confusing.

Thanks jerseyjoe. Your post came at the perfect time. I just took apart a couple of '67 differential valves and needed proper o-rings, etc. I didn't know where to find them until your posted.

I also found that the first one I bought was pretty much impossible to use. Since then I have bought a couple of the old style at yard sales. I make sure they are clean and in good condition.
