Bought the extended warranty ONE TIME. On a used Chrysler Sebring rag top (everybody needs at least one convertible in their life) Must a been thru Chrysler. We had a rain leak (they fixed it) some sortuva squeak that ONLY Ms Sally could hear and they fixed it too.
Usually they are a rip......

I traded in my 64 Falcon Sprint 260/4 speed + 1200 bux for it. (duhhh!)

Who'da thunk FIFTY-FOUR years ago......when I was a strapping 17/18 year old...looking through the Ford dealership window..that I would have one of the "new Mustangs" all cammed up with open headers.... driving it around town enjoying 'the-fruits-of-my-labor' as it were !!
I was probably listening to the hit song......Funny how Time just Slips Away by Billy Walker.
I darn sure wasn't looking around for gasoline under 350 per gal. !!

Gotta Bud who jumped into Dirt Track racing.
Entry level stuff...his son was the driver. I told him what parts we needed and together we put the "fresh-bullet" together. "Entry level" was a joke! He sunk a pile of $$ in the car and was just an also ran. The driver was really good butt........when the other guy is spending thousandS and cheating every where possible...(for a couple hundred bucks prize money)
Although they won a couple and finished in the money a few more times they were out spent big time.
They moved up to Late Model with crate engines later ...butt the fun was over with. (you can cheat in that class too...with sealed crate engines!)
Fun while it lasted.........(I got to drive the race car once when they were 'packing-the-track' before the race !)

Wish my 'winderz' fit that good !
I had to compromise and I leave the window down just a crack on the DS. Once door is shut I give the handle a twist and it seals out the air leaks as well as a hardtop can seal 'em. The only time I get a whistle is when the wind blows hard on the side of the car (or a big truck passes) I get a little noise.
(They will never seal up as well as a sedan...)

Couple-a question to axe of yourself......you plan on selling the car ?
does it have carpet and mats on the floor?
is it an EVERYDAY driver or mainly a weekend cruiser/show car?
has the rust compromised the integrity and strength of the car?
ME/I would clean the spot back to good solid metal... using some sheet metal as thick as (or a little thicker) than the stock
stuff and lap weld the daylights out of it. (maybe climb under the car
if ya feel guilty and smear some RTV or spray bedliner on it and call
it good)
By the time it rust back through again.you will be too old to drive...
Any future buyer prolly won't notice it or even know what you did.(OR
care) Why put your-self through the torture of butt-welding it..YOMV
