FYI Ford, Classic Mustang Tech Discussion » 66 coupe touchy brakes - pedal ratio » 7/03/2014 10:28 PM |
Given there are no Dumb questions: My car came from US with drum rear and power boosted front discs with dual master cylinder. The brakes have always been touchy when start to apply pressue, other wise brakes work great. Still has standard pin position on the pedal.
Question if i relocate pin 1" with MS pin kit will revised pedal ratio help rid the touchy/grab when pedal is first pushed?

1966 mustang coupe
Drum rears adjusted properly
will get photo of master cylinder and booster (3 yrs old now) and prop valve on the weekend
after posting photos will adjust pedal rod
All was fitted just before i bought car
FYI Ford, Classic Mustang Tech Discussion » 1966 brake question » 5/08/2014 3:19 AM |
Power boosted, discs front ,drum rears.Always touchy 1st tiny touch on pedal.
Right auto pedal by M/S specs however if i lift the pedal up it comes up about half inch from its resting posittion. Should this be only a little bit?
and would the half inch slack be sort of like changing the pin posittion making the first bit of pressure
on the pedal touchy? Other than that brakes very good.
