I am showing my age here, but I remember when the 65 Mustangs came out, it was common (on the 289) for the oil pressure light to come on while idling at a stop light.  In fact that may have been one reason why they changed to a gauge in 66.

I actually had good luck rolling my rear quarter panels. But I did use a mallet to get it started, and I did it before paint.

Didn't get very far watching it, but I would love to see a 1964 convertible with a 271 HP 289 weigh in at 2445! Think he's confused with a 64 Cobra.

John, we have 87 "Low Back" (24" I think) Fox seats with the small head-rest.  They came from a convertible which provides the seatbelt loop...really handy.  They DO NOT recline very far as they were in a Vert with top mech. in the quarters.  This was easily remedied by swapping the adjusters with one from a coupe.  TMI makes the new foam and upholstery in the pattern of the 66 Pony.  When I bought ours they did not provide the "Pony Panel" for these seats as it was too wide.  They did include the medallion and made the rear covers for me without the Pony Panel so it all matched.  I now understand that they have a modified Pony Panel that will work on the Fox seats so you could probably have fronts that match your existing back seat.

I did the recover myself and it wasn't overly intense.  I had done just enough upholstery work in the past to be dangerous so that helped.  The stock seat rails can be used on the Fox seats very easily.  I made as set of 1/2 X 1 1/2 strap steel adapters so I could use the Fox rails and get a bit more rear seat position.  This 1/2" raise, though, was just enough to cause thigh/steering wheel interference so when we did the "major" on the car in 2013 I put "troughs" in the drivers seat pan for the adapters...now all is good.  Another thing I did was add two extra springs to the lowers.  You'll see what I mean when you get them apart.  This stiffened the lower cushion just enough for our bottoms/backs...you may not want that but we have over 25K on these seats and neither my back (disc trouble) or my very sensitive comfort monitor in the passenger seat have any complaints.

I think you can find these seats up through 93 in various Mustangs, MK 7s, or T-Birds.  If you find a set with the tall headrests you can change them for the small ones.  Also, there are no electrics in the Mustang seats to be dealt with other than the power lumbar which you will want to keep.  That is a real life-saver for me on the

I bought this kit about four years ago, at that time the wiper wiring was also not included, but maybe it is now. In my kit, there was only a hot wire that went to the wiper switch, I had to reuse the wire harness from the switch to the motor.
I am only guessing, but maybe the wiring is not included because there are so many variations between the 65-66 one and two speed wipers.

That cut out is for a light.I have seen 66 consoles with a light there and not in the top. Maybe a move to save money, or to eliminate the problems they had with the brass plate on the top set up?  Anyway, the light came on with the interior lights.

I am suffering  through the same problem. You' re right about the bypass, the hole on the thermostat housing is much larger then the hole on the air gap intake. I first bought a thermostat housing from NAPA, three tries, three times it leaked. First and second time I used aviation form a gasket number 2 on both sides, third time I used a RTV made for thermostat and water pumps. Always weeped out the bottom. Bought a Ford Racing thermostat housing. Unlike the NAPA housing, it has a raised ridge cast into the housing around the thermostat, so I though this was the answer - no way, first try it leaked, second time it leaked, both with form a gasket on both sides of the gasket. After running it through three heat cycles, it did stop leaking. But I was running a 192 degree thermostat, and things were just running too hot, I just switched to a 180 thermostat, and you guessed it, it is weeping at the bottom again.  Along the way I have tried multiple gaskets, Stant, Mr Gasket, Fel Pro

I have used it on my 65 when I converted to a dual master cyl. Very nice to work with and no leaks. I bought it at Advanced Auto. My local store has a display rack of various straight lenghts, and also sells it by the roll.

I used them on my 65 when I converted to power disc brakes. The lines from the master cyl. to the dist. block, were tight to fit in , but I was very pleased with the way they bent, more pleased because I had no leaks after flaring the ends. The only down side is the color of the tubing.

Yes, my daughter's 07 CS has done this. It is a clogged rubber drain that can be reached by opening the hood, there is one on each side of the firewall about 1/2 way down. They are flexible rubber and can be unclogged by reaching in and cleaning out with a finger, then spray water down in front of the cowl to finish cleaning out the debris. Check your cabin filter and replace if wet.
