Thanks BB, if I mentioned  I was looking for a convertible I have moved on, I just don’t recall. I wouldn’t mind having one, but I need to focus on thinning the herd. Right now I have the following and would consider letting go of a few except the top three on the list.

I sold the Cyclone. I pulled out the tired 302 and c4 from Penny and installed a late model 302 with a monster trans AOD. I still need to get an alignment and take her to the muffler shop. She does sound pretty sweet with the flowmaster 40's, but I'm sure those will go, just need to figure out the ole dilemma of what sounds good with no drone.

I see my tech skills haven't proved one bit. 😆

I'm interested in the parts if they are still available. I live just west of Southlake in Roanoke.

My factory 67 tilt away column is indeed adjustable for driving position.

Yup, I"m going to have to look over every restomod part on this car. Right now, I'm just going off what the seller has told me and it's not much to go on. The important part, it's a very solid and straight car and I just need to go thru everything and make it safe. I plan to make some changes in a couple of years, but for now I'm just going to enjoy driving it as it is. Who knows maybe I'll bring it to the bash this year.

Very nice car.  Eons ago I had a friend with a red one.  Had the hottest 260 I ever saw in it.  This sort of stuff makes me wish I had kept the Fairlane project....Oh well.

BB, It has a mustang II suspension of unkown origin as well as an 8.8 out of who knows what. I do know the axle tube is just under 3in, so it's not an exploder rear. Also, the rear calipers have surface rust... I figured they would be aluminum so who knows and there's no tag to help identify. Most of the restomodded stuff I'll have to investigate and figure out on my own because the previous owner that built the car died and the wife didn't have a clue.
I'm not crazy about the front end, but it will have to do for now. The BIG bonus on this cyclone, it appears to have all original panels and there is zero rust in all the places I've looked.

 

I picked up a new classic over the weekend, a 1964 Mercury Comet Cyclone. I've been looking for this specific year and model for about 6 months with not much luck until this past weekend. It's not a Ford, but she's in the Ford family and has a 1992 mustang drive train with the factory efi.
I'm slowly going thru the car to make sure she's safe. I've already eliminated 4 very potential fire hazards including 3 electrical shorts and a fuel leak. The top of the to do list in order to get it inspected includes installing a parking brake to the 8.8 rear end of unknown origin, replace the wiper motor and bleed the brakes. I still love my mustangs, but I wanted to change it up a bit and add a little variety in the stable. 

Love the burnt amber 67 coupe. I'll have to watch the vid later, thanks for sharing Hakan.

Wish I could make it, but unfortunately I'm on call for work this weekend.

Sounds like a nice trip BB. I actually enjoyed my solo trip back home from Wimberly. There's just something soulful about being out on the open road in your mustang by yourself.
