THIS^^ is a real testament of 'shortsightedness' !
It was 1970 Dodge Challenger R/T....canary yellow w/blk stripes...383/335 HP ..blk vinyl top (A real hoss)
I traded in my 64 Falcon Sprint 260/4 speed + 1200 bux for it. (duhhh!)
Living proof the human brangs go sound asleep while our body continues to function !
Oh well...

Uh...I don't like you no more Sally.

And I'm having second thoughts also Sal.
While looking for my second US car in the 90s, I found a 70 hemi challenger with a siezed engine for 15 grand. The bank manager wouldn't go for that, so I ended up with 2 $2000 mustang coupes.
It didn't help that until the car was 30 yrs old, it was liable to import duties and taxes that would've doubled the price.

4.81" is about the best you can get in AR wheels. 4.75 in other brands.
Do you need them to clear bigger brakes?

The only thing a flux core welder does better than shielding gas, is it's able to weld outside on a windy day.
It's not worth the disadvantages though.

You have a 67 S code? Tell me more... tell me more...

I might'a misled you a bit Bob. It's a 67 S code Mustang, not a Galaxie.
It's claim to fame apart from being a Marti report 1 of 1, is being 1 of the last 67s to leave the building on 8/17/67.
I've never been able to call any of my cars "finished", so I'm going with a more concours type build with this one ...
Maybe I can call it "finished" one day.

Bob, I guess TW thought he needed a rebuild cos of how badly it would'a been handling without a crossmember.
I'm sure he's now a convert to the benefits of a tighter body. Some background,

Before you finish assembly of the booster, put an extra nut on the studs where they pass through the mounting plate of the booster with a bit of loctite. Place a fender washer on top of the extra nuts and set the top of the washers to the same height as the edge of the mounting plate. This will give a solid surface to tighten against.

It's bout 18 miles to one of the parks boundaries. On a good winter you can get there on a snowmobile.
I think they still do a fun run to the park each year.

Both 5R09C162843 and 5R07C162945 has a date code of 30L, 30 November 1964.
Your car is actually listed on ISOmustangs as a vintage burgandy convertible.

A lot of drivers regard the gas pedal as an on/ off switch and have no idea what throttle modulation is about.

I used'ta think I was a pretty good driver/rider till I took up snowmobiling ... until you learn proper throttle control, you'll spend most of your time digging yourself outta the deep powder.
I don't have'ta dig anywhere near as much now.

I lost 5 of the 8 nuts, and a socket, in my pans while trial fitting 95 seats in mine. Got 1 nut and the socket out with an old speaker magnet. I'll concentrate on getting the rest out when the seats go in to stay.
I learnt to use an empty TP roll in the hole, up to the nut ... stuff can only fall out of the roll.

Enough of a difference that a 3G requires grinding on the alt bracket. It sounds like you'll need all the room you can get. A 6G from a 2001-2004 V6 mustang, should fit with no grinding, and is smaller than a 3G.
Should be cheapish at a pick-n-pull.

Not sure if you know Raymond, but a 3G alt can fit, and is a way better alt than a 2G firestarter.
