That is a Malwood pedal.  they make a good product and the pedal alone can be had for about $700.  Not a fan of a hydraulic throwout bearing.  You lose the clutch "feel" and if... no check that WHEN the bearing fails the transmission needs to be pulled to replace it.

Yep, everything Day said. Mal's shop is bout 60 miles down the road from me. He does make good stuff.
I'm also not a fan of a hydraulic throwout bearing. I'd be using Day's slave setup.
Cheaper without the bearing.

Gidday Terry. It takes a certain amount of horsepower to turn a non clutched fan, all the time. A thermal clutch only costs a similar amount of power when engaged. Out on the highway, when there is sufficient airflow, they will be disengaged, in town in stop and go traffic where you need it, they will be engaged.
I always prefer thermal, over non-thermal.

It took me awhile to get used to black engine bays, all Ozzie Fords were body colour.

Steve, did you cut out the whole slot? I'm thinking of only cutting from the original hole outwards. I should never be looking for positive camber, so why cut it all out??

It looks like the differential valve switch, is a single wire connection like a 67, vs the 2 wire connection on 68 and later.
Because you don't have a light on the dash to tell you the valve has moved, look for continuity between the terminal and the body of the combo valve. When the continuity disappears, the valve is centered.
As MS mentioned, the secret to centering is the "STOMP", not a gentle bleeding, I usually only STOMP them once, then check if it has centered so that I'm not chasing them backwards and forward. Unless you think it is sticking.

That's a combo valve. It includes a proportioning valve, metering valve, and a brake pressure differential valve. They are reproduced, but the new ones all seem to leak a short while later due to incorrect seals. They can be rebuilt with the correct seals.

Leonie had her first eye done a week ago, she had mostly given up night driving.
She drove 140 km last night, loved it.

I'm using a 95 single fan. I found out the aftermarket replacement motors are single speed only, possibly true for a Taurus replacement as well. Contour, I'd be checking, if they are not original.
Good luck to your "friend".

Elongating the existing holes is the only tedious part. My neighbor has a brand new plasma cutter for sale. Since I have to do BOTH SIDES, that would make cost of buying the machine to cut a hole HALF AS MUCH, right?

Yeah ... no. You've only gotta elongate half a hole on each side.

As mentioned previously, lazy costs money.
Butt, on my green and yellow machine with 4yr, 400hr warranty, it'd be going back to the stealer.
Different story out of warranty though.

Rudi, like you, I had the same problem on my 65 3 decades ago,and like BobE, my attempt to use penetrating fluid resulted in a visor that wouldn't stay up.
In my case, the use of the fluid damaged the cardboardy type'a original visors, so I just replaced them.

Rudi, my father tells a story of swinging on a sidecar in speedway, on a Vincent ... once. Said he didn't like swinging. I'm sure it wasn't a Black Shadow. Maybe a Comet.

I once had an old Dodge dually truck with a slant 6 that looked like that after lending it to a "friend" to move a caravan. Got a call saying it was on the side of a highway, and she didn't know what had happened.Found out from her son, that it didn't like having the gearbox mounted handbrake pulled on at 60.

I considered doing it  when i converted a 65 to right hand drive. it becomes easier to use a variable ratio integrated PS box. You also don't havta pay someone to cut and weld the centerlink, the centerlink comes back with a serial number, a weld map, and xray results tied to the serial number. It's the only way to get an engineer to sign off on the conversion if you use an original centerlink.
