Rudi, thank you.
How did you go about making your custom shroud? Would starting with a factory shroud be a good idea?

Im trying to get an electric fan for my champion cc251b radiator but the one that is popping up on google for this radiator says that it is 4 1/2" deep and I do not have enough clearance to fit it. Anyone know of a fan & shroud that will fit this radiator or how we can modify it to fit?
Thanks, Ross

okay so I took this measure meant from the front of the firewall to the middle of the motor mount. it was give or take 16 1/2 inches and 17 to the end of the mount. this is the mount that is attached to the motor compartment.

I should also mention that the car was originally an automatic from the factory, and the automatic from the crown vic did fit in correctly.

Its not on a cross member at the moment I am just holding it in place with a jack stand. As for the mounts they are not stock. what I know is that there was a crown vic 302 in there before, but I pulled it and put in a 92 GT's 302. it is also probably worth mentioning that when the crown vic was in there, it had an automatic, but I put the T5 in instead. The T5 DID come from the same car as the 302. Hmmm was thinking, maybe my motor mounts are on backwards or perhaps the wrong side as they do have different spacing on each side and look as though they could be but on wrong.

it is a 92 actually

It is a T5 bell housing from 1990 Im pretty sure. Ill have to bug Larry for a minute to jog his memory on the year but its a T5.

Hey guys, i'm finally being active about getting my mustang fixed up again but first things first is to solve the transmission issues i'm having. As you can see in the picture, my transmission is sitting way to far forward in the tunnel. My mother Debbie says she has heard of having to cut a tunnel to accommodate a tranny before, but not to this extent. It is a T5 on a 302 in a 65. Thanks!

Ill try to be more clear in the future btw!!!!
FYI Ford, Classic Mustang Tech Discussion » T5 dowel pins » 1/29/2017 11:41 AM |
Hey guys I actually meant the opposite, they were VERY tight in the flywheel but I got em in with a bit of force, however one of the holes on the pressure plate was trippin me up. 2 holes on the pressure plate would accept the pins properly, while one of the was unnaturally tight. I forced that in too. I guess it was just uneven machining? thanks for looking at the question though.
FYI Ford, Classic Mustang Tech Discussion » T5 dowel pins » 1/28/2017 12:03 PM |
My Alignment pins are spotty in their fitting in the flywheel, are they 100% necessary, or is it safe to leave them off?

I've seen a guy put gravel in there to get any tough stuff out, then he put it on a spinning device to toss the gravel around.

Why not wrap a piece of cord around it and get a measurement and go to the local/friendly Poop Boys (or wherever) and find a belt that length. Any parts monkey worth "two-hoots-in-hell" can figure it out knowing the length you need.
6s6Sal - finding true parts guys by me is hard to find, they need to look at the computer to tell them anything. I typically get a blank look if I tell them it is a custom application. None of them seem to have any sense, and most won't let you behind the counter to find what you're looking yourself.
Just saying ...
Well......that's because you're dealing with a bunch of Yankees!!!
Yous guyz already know everything!! J/K (butt chew know that!)
Need to come down here where they're either drop outs/retards with bad teethOr no teeth/ or old retired guys

the old man behind the counter at auto zone talks me through everything i buy assuming he knows the slightest bit about it and im screaming in my head like (I KNOW, JUST TAKE MY MONEY)

Im reading these things online that are telling me that if I have a manual transmission harness, I can modify the O2 harness to fit in my manual transmission however my o2 thingy is not only not attached to my main harness its hanging off the engine rn, but my plug is missing the 2 purple that EVERYBODY seems to have but me, there is not any slots for those wires either. my harness is the same in every other way though. what is even going on here. ive got a a9l computer btw
